The Moon Project Earth2150 Mod by Loco xx

This 696kb Mod will enable you to play the 3 original Earth 2150 campaigns with the Moon Project engine.

With this benefits:

- better graphics
- you can zoom out further
- more useful hotkeys
- new technologies integrated seamlessly
- uses TMP unit balancing (ED campaign a little easier, LC campaign a little harder)
- unchanged original missions
- no .exe installer (just copy files and rename them)

Go to http://wec.org.pl/download-mody

Scroll a little down to "Earth2150 Pobierz - 696 Kb Autor: Loco xx"

Download "Earth2150.zip" (Pobierz - 696 Kb is the link)

The file includes an english, a german and a polish version and the readme is in english.

EDIT: Fixed typos

Uh...doesn't work properly. Throws polish language at me despite the fact that i only copied E file into the structure. What even?

The Readme.rtf text file inside the folder is in english (try Wordpad to open it) and the Earth2150E.wd is the correct file for the english version, the Earth2150P.wd is not a newer version (P = Polish).
I hope this helps, and if not write me a back and I will reinstall Earth to look into that issue. However it worked for me when I wrote the original post last summer.

The ED Campaine is still very hard (at least for me) so this post may be of intrest if you want to play the ED:

EDIT:
Sorry, I did not realize, you metioned that you used the E file. You still need the correctly renamed "Escape From The Blue Planet" campaine files though. The Earth2150E.wd alone won't work (it only tells the TMP exe how to use the "Escape From The Blue Planet" campaine files).

Again, i DID correctly renamed them. If i didn't it would've not launched campaign at all. As i've said - the problem is that it uses POLISH language instead of ENGLISH one.

That is odd, I re-downloaded the Earth 2150 Triology from Gog and the Mod from the wec.org.pl page. I was useing the levels file from the Gog "Escape From The Blue Planet" Folder with the Mod and it worked.

Are you using the Gog Version or a Retail CD/DVD Version ?

If the campaine (and not the Integration as I thougt first) is in polish, the only thing I can think of is that the levels file you are using is eather polish or multilingual and the mod than falls back to the default language wich very likely is polish because I am pretty sure that Earth 2150 was made by a polish Developer.
Speaking about these mods, most of those sites are down by now. Does anyone have access to the ADP Siege mod and the EScripts? (http://homepage.ntlworld.com/gmtechb/Earth/ES.htm - The page includes a link that once led to the site of the mod which is no longer active)
I really hope someone still possesses these mods and can upload them somewhere or knows of a page that still has these. It'd be a shame if they were lost forever.
Maybe try topware or steam forum? I too would want to see the mods again.

look at the already provided link! ;-) dont forget to get a plugin/extention/addon for your browser that lets you translate whole webpages for you - g-chrome or its derivat srware iron have this feature implemented ;-)

(sorry that i have to ask, but if that helps leave me a "+" please so i can get my rep out of the newby pitty :)
For those interested in the EFTBP campaigns for TMP mod, be advised that the researches are a bit messed up. It seems that the enemy has more freedom in technologies, not to mention the ones that didn't even exist in the original game. As an example for the first point, the ED enemy in the first LC mission already has lasers -- this makes using Fang considerably more dangerous since lasers will easily destroy his unshielded vehicle. For the second point, the LC Plasma Projector makes for a serious headache if it's pointed towards you. Fat Girls with multiple PP's, rather early in the campaign -- ouch. Main Bases can also become huge obstacles if they're equipped with two or more PP's.
On the other hand, you also get access to forbidden technologies, like the Unit Transporter which can be hugely useful in the vanilla campaign. All in all, it's imbalanced, so just remember that.

The improved controls are nice, but I would still recommend playing the original campaigns in the original game, at least for the first time.
In EFTBP, mouse scroll is seemingly locked into changing the camera angle, but the distance can be fixed with:

graph.zoom.max 1000

Angle can be tweaked too with

graph.viewangle.max 10
graph.viewangle.min 0

and of course

graphrate 60

Also I have a copy of the EarthC files but the forum won't let me post links.

Reason why you can not post is you need to have a rep of +5, you get one rep per day if you post 1 message, but that does not mean 10 messages per day = 10 rep, no just 1 rep per day.

For the meantime, PM me with the links and I would post it till you can post ;)

And I really shall have visited this sub-forum earlier, never new that there were mods for earth :O
Thanks for the info,
I also remembered/found where I got it in the first place.
Go to earth2150.com on the Wayback Machine, then go to the German site, wait for it to load, and find EARTH-C.exe in the news. The given link was dead for me, but if you keep trying an earlier year it'll work eventually.
The exe itself is a package extractor, basically just a zip in exe form. This might be a better link to list than my own Mediafire one.

I haven't actually made any mods for Earth, but I hear the possibilities are somewhat rudimentary as far as skirmish/multiplayer goes. I remember hearing that the reason why the additional AIs in SuperStorm cheat so blatantly (spawning out of thin air dozens of units without the necessary buildings, research or money) is that the scripting language isn't capable of making the computer player do that stuff the legit way. You can see these kind of solutions in the campaign levels too; the computer players tend to rely on pre-placed units while the player needs to build or ferry in almost everything.

Could you elaborate on how and where exactly to use those lines? Playing EFTBP is painful with the default zoom level.

If I remember correctly, just press enter when you are in the game (not in the menus) and enter these commands, one line at each time.

Thank you so much, now I can really enjoy the original campaign. I don't suppose there is a way to make keyboard scrolling smooth scrolling?
