In the Campaign dialog, it came up that all masters have their unique talents. But where can I find this info?

I think I noticed Ul-Dagan hire 3 guards in one turn one map, but that's about it.

Or is this just about their style of play - which units they tend to go with, etc?

This was intended to back up ability to "reverse turn" for your protagonist. Initially game didn't have even this.
Author thinks that save&load break story and decrease weight of consequences.

Anyway, most of the masters don't have anything specific, aside strong guard contract. Some have higher chances to ally different non-human races, Vianta always starts in the forest with Fairy tree, which gives her free access to fairies and dryads.
