cycyx: My issue is double here: GOG didn't advertise a remake, and I can't get a straight answer from the Support Team.

I don't even really care about the $20.

I just want things to be clear: I feel like I'm facing a big corporation with no respect for their clients...
I have to agree with this 100%. If you were a fan of Eador Genesis and originally bought it from gog and came back a year later and see the Masters of the Broken World page there is NOTHING at all that clues you in that it's a remake.

That is unless you read the reviews which were NOT their pre release of course which means you still get screwed out of your money. The bald facts that are seen from the gog page are as follows minus the reviews:

- Seems to be priced like a new game (Heroes 5 along with it's 2 expansions is the same price)
- NO mention of Genesis at all, so also not saying it's a remake of anything.
- Different game TITLE while still keeping the "Series" name implies it's a different game. This one may be on the developer but since gog went along they had a responsibility to make sure it's advertised as "remake".

Actually an interesting fact I just came across. Even on the Snowbird site they never really say it's a remake. Even in the MotBW game FAQ's they make NO mention at all of Genesis. They say things like

"Pre-ordering now you also receive a free copy of Eador. Genesis, the original game that inspired Masters of the Broken World."

and

"Eador: Masters of the Broken World – is a fantasy turn-based strategy game, where the decisions you make affect the world even deeper than the battles you win. Join the great war between the immortal warlords, fighting for the global domination, and define the destiny of the Universe!"

So taking all these things into consideration maybe we should not be holding Gog fully responsible but Snowbird games as well. I mean you should not have to dig into fan forums to find out that the game is a remake when they take NO trouble to mention that at all. Yes I am sure I could find the info somewhere on the FORUM put there by beta testers but I should not have to.

Perhaps I owe a slight apology to gog, but only a very slight one that in no way diminishes their own responsibility for providing refunds. They may have to take it up in turn with Snowbird themselves.
Problem solved!

FYI, the game page content is provided by the developer and GOG was "unresponsive" due to national holidays...
My main issue is that I bought the game under the impression that it was a new Eador game, not just Genesis with some new paint. I'd call that false advertising personally.
