But centaurs are really easy to beat with a mediocre warrior. F10 and done.

IIRC, Centaurs are buggy since a last patch.

A Warrior is the easiest way to do it..if you have one.
My first Hero was a scout, a mage the second and after i discovered the guard i had to gather the gold for a warrior first.
Aside from this...1.Map=no traders at the demese, no provincebuildings,...only the basic stuff availeble...it's not that easy to bet 10 Centauers with Lev. 8-12 at expert with this even with distractionunits+magic armor/astral energy.
I had to do "dungeonfarming", gathering Gold and hoping to find some usefull stuff at the end i found a "Summon Devil" Scroll and could do it with my mage.
