All I get is a black screen with music. I can hear the music but that's it. Tried compatibility modes but no luck.

Any ideas folks?

Thanks,
Vlad
The same here!
Could you please contact with your issues to support. Describe your problem with as much details as possible and please attach DxDiags to your mails.
Done! Let's wait now :)
Exact same problem on my Windows 7 system.

Could someone please post a solution here so several hundred of us don't have to contact support with the same issue :)
I'll tryed all the solutions the support introduced but it did not work. Actually, did you try the Print Screen button? When i do it shows me an image of the game, i don't know at all the meaning of it...
Looks like the game does this if your resolution is below 1024 x 768. Not sure if that applies to anyone here, just thought I'd mention it since I remember reading it on the Russian forums for the game.

Nope, don't have low resolution -- but thanks for the suggestion :)

I've tried all the compatability settings I have as well as tried running it as Administrator. Still no go -- black screen, pretty music playing then crash.
The same than BGOG ! But i repeat, try the print screen button while in black screen, it's strange!

EDIT : Here, i added a picture, this is exactly what i see.

Does it work in Windowed mode?

[erased redundant step-by-step]

Edit: Vighugr has a much faster way of accessing Windowed Mode in the post below this one, I'm an idiot and didn't look in the Start menu!

I tried it before, doesn't change anything at all without the black who turns into a flashy pink.

(By the way, for a windowed mode launcher : Windows Button > all programms > Gog.com > Eador > Eador Windowed Mode )

*le sigh* I'm having the same problem. I have the distinct feeling that this may be caused by my integrated graphics chip (yet again), as this kind of problem always seems to be due to it.

Well, that was five bucks down the drain. =(
There is a solution from the russian support forum (may be it will help someone):
1. Find (via Google) and install DXWnd (OG edition) tool
2. Extract and run it, go to Edit -> Add.
3. Press "..." button, find Eador.exe file
4. Check up "Hook DirectDraw" option
5. In Resolution tab choose your screen resolution (or set game default 1024x768).
6. Check up "Auto-Correct Mouse Position" and "Don't Hide Mouse Pointer"
7. Press ОК, go to Edit tab again and press Execute

I have integrated intel graphic card, and it's not working at all.

GOG guys, you really should test those games on at least one computer with intel integrated graphic card.

For the integrated intel graphic card you can try this:
Manually delete old video drivers, download and install latest version for your graphic card.
It is a common practice, when integrated GPU has out of date drivers installed.
