I remember trying this game years ago, and I experimented by setting the game's difficulty to its hardest setting. I think this was called "expert", but I'm not entirely sure. There's a fight early on in the game involving some blue dragons. I found that if my party didn't have someone with the dragonlance (a powerful sword which inflicts good damage against dragons), then I couldn't win this battle, as I wasn't sure what the best strategy against them was. For instance, what spells were most effective to use, etc.

If you won this battle on expert mode without the use of the dragonlance, how did you do it? Thanks for any comments.

Hold Monster if your characters are high enough level.
Dragons have relatively poor saving throws.

one little nitpic:
a dragonlance is not a sword its more of a pike or long spear
as far as i remember you only see the footman's version in the games
the mounted versions were of course true lances but i dont think any of them appeared in the game

anyway its just a minor nitpic, you may carry on XD
OK thanks a lot, that's all good information to know!
