I'm in Vingaard keep and I'm stuck in a place where all I can do is go into a bar and drink or talk. But I can't get out - there were a few times that I started a fight but now I just get put outside the door and there is no other way out.

Follow the red doors. If that doesn't work, open up the cluebook for the game, and see exactly where you are at, as there should be exits from all those areas that have the drink/talk option. You might just be getting turned around.
