ok so I am replaying dungeon keeper 2 after a long time and I noticed that this gog.com version is nowhere completely working properly. back in the vanilla orginal CD version of the game all the creatures come out of the portal depending on the latest room built and when I reached the level where you get the prison, not a single goblin and firefly comes out. and I had to resort to using trolls. naturally I had to work my way around these errors and managed to reach sparklydell where they are not coming no matter I try and am truly fed up with this.

please if anyone knows why these errors show up please tell me how to fix these creature attract errors myself because I cant finish the latter levels without my full set of creatures and DK2 wont feel like the same game I played a decade ago.

Try the unofficial 1.8 patch. You can find it on KeeperKlan. Don't forget that there is also a version 1.8 DKII-DX.exe. Without it the game will not work correctly.

thanks for the late help. I figured out that the unofficial patch fixes it so I installed it then. but thanks for the help anyway.

You don't need a patch. You can fix the problem yourself. I have created a step-by-step guide with screenshots to show how it can be fixed.
