Hey there, I got a huge problem running the game as I want it to..

If I use the dkII.exe I get a blackscreen in mainmenu no matter what I do, I tried:
the config file provided in this forum, the registry changes (engine ID, screen hardware..), making a special profile for dkII.exe in catalyst control center turning of all options/setting em application based, using the general improvement mod version 0.95


If I use the dkII-dx.exe I can run the game and play it normally, but any changes to resolution 'n stuff aren't affecting the client at all.. I have 2 big black frameparts to the left and right of my game window (its not true full screen) and it seems the acceleration ain't working since the graphics are pretty shabby


My OS:
Win7 Home 64 Bit
AMD FX 4170
ATi Radeon 6740

For the first : did you try disabling hardware acceleration in the video options menu?

For the second : What resolutions did you try? What is your native resolution? Can you post a screenshot so that we can see your graphics? (Note also that you aren't supposed to use dkII-dx.exe with GIM as it has the wrong version of the game for this mod.)

Oh, also, not that you won't see any changes in the main menu, you need to start a new game.

Thx for your reply. Turning off hardware acc when using dk2.exe and starting a game is working. The true fullscreen works with that exe too. My native is 1920^1200 but I dont mind playing on lower..

But now I got a new problem, turning off hardware acc isnt saved. Whenever I restart the game client I have the blackscreen again and need to turn it off in options over and over again...
