I just downloaded the first two Age of Evil episodes from "Yahtzee" Croshaw, and while some of the stuff works, like all the textures being replaced, and custom sounds and dialouge, anything that HASN'T been replaced is missing altogether (except for weapon models), like the sounds of the pistol being shot, the "menu selector" sound, and all kinds of other stuff. I'm not sure if it's because Age of Evil was half-assed (doubtful considering Croshaw's past record) or if there's some incompatibility with GoG's version of Duke3D.

Are you using DosBox or a Custom Duke Nukem 3D source port to run the game?
If running eDuke, I recommend making a separate folder inside the Duke directory (Like "Age of Evil", and putting the mod files in there. Then rename the .CON file to "EDUKE.CON."
Here's some guidance on running mods with eDuke.
I was using the "vanilla" installation package provided by GoG. The point is kinda moot now as I half-solved the problem by putting the original "Duke3d.grp" file back into the main game folder, where the Age of Evil install batch file puts all the mod's files. The mod's installation procedure is kinda ass-backwards in it's own right, so my solution was the only one I could think of. The only problem is that the cutscenes that play after beating the episode bosses are from Duke3D and not Age of Evil, even though the epilogue screen detailing the after-story is from Age of Evil. The mod itself isn't even complete, as there's supposed to be one or more episode coming, and it seems production was abandoned, but if someone ever does pick it up again, hopefully this issue will be addressed.
