Would you mind elaborating how you got it to work. There may be some people out there whom experienced what you did and could not get it to work.
I just downloaded the game, it loads Duke3d.xfg and then goes straight back to Windows. I have Windows 7 64 bit.
In order to get this game to work, I had to run it in Windows XP compatibility mode, so much for "Windows 7 compatible".

Sure. Well I downloaded the game from GOG.com on Opera. Then I went on “Computer” (Yours might be called “My Computer” but mine is just called “Computer”.) Anyways I went on “Computer and in the “HP C:)” drive I made a new folder called “Duke NukemGOG”. Then on the Windows Start search engine I typed “setup” then “setup_duke3d.exe” came up as one of the results. I clicked on that then downloaded the game to the “Duke NukemGOG” folder. Then I downloaded eduke32 coped the eduke32 files to “Duke NukemGOG” folder or whatever file you named your Duke Nukem directory. Clicked on the eduke icon. And that’s that. I have Windows Vista BTW.
