Free, a French ISP, have made an announcement about games now available on its Freebox (i.e. modem/router/WiFi + separate TV box) v5.
Their announce points to GOG.com to get Duke Nukem 3D:
"Free propose également des jeux 3D : un moteur Duke Nukem 3D® et un moteur Doom® sont maintenant inclus, le principe est sensiblement le même que pour les jeux sur console : pour Duke Nukem 3D®, il suffit de copier le fichier « .grp » depuis http://www.gog.com sur le disque dur de la Freebox. Pour Doom®, les fichiers « .wad » sont disponibles sur http://www.nongnu.org/freedoom/ et peuvent être également transférés sur le disque dur inclus dans la Freebox."
Loosely translated:
"Free also offers 3D games 3D: Duke Nukem 3D® and DOOM® engines are now included (note: engines adapted for Freeboxes), the principle is substantially the same as the console games: for Duke Nukem 3D®, simply copy the ".grp " file from http://www.gog.com to the Freebox hard drive. Regarding Doom®, the ".wad" files are available on http://www.nongnu.org/freedoom/ and can also be transferred to the hard drive included in the Freebox."
Damn I'm proud of my ISP! =)
That's quite good news for GOG.com... not extra but good. Since Free is quite popular among tech savvies, the announcement is like free advertising for GOG. Woohoo.

So, did you test it ?
Don't really have the time right now, as my wife is watching something on the FreeboxHD.
Does it worth it at all. I bet I'll be disappointed, comparing it with eDuke + HRP.

Nope, my FreeboxHD is out, dead (lightning =/).
The announcement thanks eDuke, but no mention about HRP =S.
That said, given that they stated that the FreeboxHD is not very powerful, it seems HRP wouldn't be able to run on it...
Ps: Each time it's strange to speak english to another French =).
