I just hardly found out about Polymer lighting in maps . I Think duke nukem might get more players and fans with all these grafical upgrades . I found this cool video and its starting to look like Doom III With those details and lights . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z9nVuf6OM2g&feature=related . Awsome huh ?
Dekin my friend, Ive learned of something very neat. Remember that crazy Legal thing with Apogee and publisher Take-Two Interactive?
Well... it seems 2K games is currently and has been working on a game called Duke Begins, a serious nexgen FPS title which has been secret until the blessed court battle yoinked it out for all to see :)

Can't seem to get it to work with HRP. =/

Me either lol
For polymer HRP:
Download: http://www.plagman.net/polymer_hrp.zip
Unzip
You should end up with a folder called "polymer_hrp" which contains the files you need.
Zip up the contents of that folder (note that "polymer_hrp" should not be the top most level of the zip, the contents of the folder should be: i.e. the "hires" folder and all the loose files, just like all the previous hrp_update. zip files were. Open the hrp_update.zip file in your autoload folder if you don't understand.)
The new zip file with the polymer contents should be named "polymer_hrp.zip"
Put the file in your duke autoload directory.
Thanks but the thing i had wrong was polymer check box was noy checked . i hate when that happens lol
Hi,
It seems the Polymer renderer introduced a huge regression (or a bad new feature.)
When firing, impacts are well below the crosshair (try pistol or shotgun against a wall.)
If I unchecked the polymer checkbox, firing is Ok.
Did anyone else notice the problem ?

The polymer is a beta release, not a final. Your problem has been explained at the site where the developers hang out: Polymer build publicly released
I believe the problem is that is that full screen or wide screen rendering hasn't been implemented yet. If you played the game windowed, the crosshair will be correct in its aim.
If you find bugs, report them at: Polymer public builds errors/issues

Thanks for the information. It is not mentionned on the EDuke32 website that polymer is still in beta, so I though it was final. I'll report any other problem I may encounter to the dev forum.
I Dident notice that lol
