My game installed OK.

But in starting the game,I can go ahead with the up arrow and reverse with the down arrow.

But I cannot go left or right with the left and right arrow keys.

My first whinge after buying games from GOG for a few years now,so i hope someone in here has a solution.

According to the manual, the cursor (arrow) keys are not the default controls for the game. The movement controls are:

W accelerate (walk forwards on foot)
S decelerate (walk backwards on foot)
A steer left (turn left on foot)
D steer right (turn right on foot)

I meant driving in the car.

Accelerating is fine,but when I try to sharp turn either left or right,the car only steers (actually,slightly veering would be more discript) a tiny bit so I end up crashing into the other cars.

The controls I listed (taken from the manual) are for both driving and walking. The walking is that given in the brackets after the driving control.

So, cursor keys are not used by default. Are you using the WSAD to drive? If not, try using them as that is what the manual says. Your initial post says you are using the arrow keys (I'm guessing you are referring to the cursor keys).

Yes,I try to drive with the WASD keys mapped and the result is the same.

I can drive forwards,but when it comes to turning a hard left or right,no go as it only but slightly veers to either those directions like I am trying to overtake another car.(And even that is hard to do).

I'll try to do a re-install and I'll go from there bearing in mind that I will try to find a fix on some other site that might have a fix and I'll post the result in here.:)

Do you have a controller connected? If so, try unplugging it before starting up the game and see if that makes a difference. (Just in case it interferes with the keyboard controls).

No...just a keyboard.
