(Original Steam Issue that was fixed: http://steamcommunity.com/app/367500/discussions/6/451850849195201526)

As I see nothing of this mentioned here on the GOG forum, I may as well start it off.

Has anyone had any success in receiving ratings/gifts/rift crystals from released pawns with the GOG release of the game?

I've checked as much as I could online and found the above thread on Steam that found the issue was the Capcom database itself that had an issue.

I've tried making sure Windows Firewall was as open as possible with Dogma itself, both inbound and out, as well as testing in conjunction with the antivirus and even made sure our household tried the Gifting/Trading Walkthrough from the wiki itself.

Now, the outcomes we have come across are:

- If you follow the wiki, the equipped items generally appear with the owner's game (can't remember time frame). We do know if you don't rest before release, it doesn't give the items over as my son found out with my pawn. My wife though did make a staff appear over on my pawn.

- The Knowledge aspect to the profile of the pawn has beastiary knowledge of "Unfamiliar Foe", hence what led me to the Steam thread where some information is making it through but not all.

- No matter which method we attempt (the walkthrough, sleeping multiple times in a row, releasing before bed and trying next day), the ratings, releasing gift & rift crystals all do not appear at all.

To confirm where we are at in the game: We all had this issue pre-Gran Soren but now post-Gran Soren nothing has changed. We are approx 20-40 hours into our playthrough.

Having issues as well where I'm not even sure if my pawn has been rented since I've gotten no rift crystals or items no matter how many times I sleep. A friend and I tried testing to see if it was working and neither of us seemed to receive items or rift crystals from the other. Hopefully this gets fixed soon.
If you didn't have a friend to test it with, I was going to say I can try it myself as well with your pawn.

Crossing fingers it is fixed too as we're worried the equipped or gifted items are now lost into the nether.
Yes, I'm having the exact same issues here that I had when the Steam version launched. I can rent and use other pawns, but when I release them nothing goes through. I'm incorrectly ranked first on the top pawns list, even though I've never had a rental notification. When I try to access the pawns my pawn knows list, I get an error message.

Last time it was a database corruption on Capcom's end, and I think they admitted they couldn't figure out what caused it. Hopefully they'll sort it out this time too.
For the books, I haven't gotten a single rental in 35 hours of game time as of yesterday evening, and usually when searching pawns, I get about 1 or 2 actual player pawns shown per level (48ish or so of yesterday).

Can anyone verify if his or her pawn ever got rental rewards?
Absolutely no rental rewards here either with about 50 hours of gameplay. Much of that has been restarts though, so I figured that it might have had to do with my pawns being low-level and thus not highly sought after.

For reference, the start of the video below shows how the rental reward screen looks in the steam version of this game.

UPDATE:

The database is indeed not working. I can verify that myself and satsumalol rented each others pawns and exchanged gifts, and nothing came through on the other end.

Gentlemen, we have a rather annoying bug here, and given the sheer amount of RC needed for Bitterblack Isle, I'd rather see this fixed as swiftly as possible.

EDIT: Ticket raised, I hope this is fixable.

I know maybe a little late to the party but I wanted to say I too have not gotten any rentals of my pawn (Victoria)

in the time played. I did find my pawn had some unfamiliar foe knowledge in her bestiary section but other then

that, there was no new locations/quest knowledge learned, gifts/ratings received or any of her equipped items

(mine) returned. I slept multiple times hoping for a pawn return screen and never got one.

-

EDIT: Thought I was mostly to blame cause of my pawn's bad choice of inclinations, they were the main reason

she was not getting rented. Well I do not think that would be a problem anymore since they been changed to

scather (primary) and pioneer (secondary), overall hoping they will work out better for me when GOG finally gets

this pawn rental bug fixed.. sooner or later.

Yeah same thing for me.
Thanks all. I knew it wasn't just our household having an issue and thought someone had to open the flood gate. Hopefully this won't take too long to get fixed! :D
I wanted to add my voice to this bug as well. I have played for 14 hours, with Cloud save on and settings set to online plus anyone can rent my pawn without any luck.

Hopefully the more people reporting on this problem, the sooner it is fixed.
Same problem here, I think.
My pawn Amelia has some ??? entries on her knwledge pages but I haven't got any screens with a return result of my pawn.

Thanks all, again. I'm bumping this to make sure visible on front page still.

I'm hoping it is easy to rectify and as a side note: I saw a comment on Reddit mentioned that you can hire pawns from Steam players yet as not able to put them onto a friend list, they will cost Rift Crystals. If this is the case, I would have thought the database would have worked like Steam's after being fixed but then I have no idea how it all works :P

I'm calling BS on that one. The game presents a scant few pawns per level, whereas the steam version was positively brimming with player pawns. Most of the pawns I see in Gran Soren are NPC ones, with no ownership indicated when you talk to them. Same if I go into the rift, there's usually less than 5 actual player pawns per level.

If this really had crossplay enabled, then the servers handling the matching would be in an even more dire state than what I was expecting. As far as I can tell, the GoG version simply uses it's own player pool, which is smaller in comparison.

I'm getting a bit miffed here, since I've started BBI now and am really hurting for Rift Crystals. I'd also like to open up an exchange thread for rarities and materials, but as of now, it's totally pointless.
I agree that it may be BS as not checked since still at work for another 6 hours.

And I agree too that the lower amount of rift crystals is why I'm slowing my gaming at present (wife and son still going strong though).
