Capcom could have stopped by and said "we are aware, try this, stay tuned we're working on it", or something, just as they did for steam users. Either way, glad it's working now.

Would be insteresting to know if the server name thing was the problem. I told GOG support my idea earlier, and now suddenly the network stuff is functioning. I don't care about praise or anything but knowing whether or not I was correct would be interesting to me.

I would like to thank everyone who kept cool heads and tried to figure this out, instead of just pointing fingers and cursing.

Apparently the pawn upload has been working all the time even with the error message. A GoG friend who liked to use my healing mage pawn just complained it got overwritten by the pawn I created in a new game for testing. In that game I never got a single rest without the error still my new pawn was online.
Interesting. Everything seems to be fine for me now. I can't be certain because no one has rented and released my pawn yet. I just released two user made pawns and that seemed to function.

The pawn return function is busted since the game was released on GoG and I doubt it will ever be fixed. Only in very rare cases did players ever get a pawn return report.
Usually you never get notified if your pawn was hired and returned, you won't receive any Rift Crystals, the counter in History stays at 0, pawn ratings don't get applied and your pawn will stay "unrated" forever. Items gifted to your pawn eventually materialize in your storage. Knowledge gained by the pawn while hired should also make it back to your side.

So the only way to know your pawn has been hired is by getting told by the other player or if you see items or knowledge pop up "out of nowhere".

Thanks for the info. I wish the store page would clearly state that the online functions do not function properly, I would not have purchased the game, at least until it was fixed. Again, thanks.

Damn that sounds sad) Btw, pawn uploading works now for me too. I wonder what happened *rolls his eyes* :>
I'm done. Capcom won't respond. Capcom doesn't communicate with GOG users, unlike with steam. GOG really can't fix this, Capcom has it locked down. I wen't ahead and accepted GOG's offer to refund. Uninstalled. Maybe one day if it ever functions the way it's supposed to I'll re-buy. But for now I've wasted too much time on this and would rather be gaming. Good luck everyone.
