Hey there. As anyone who played the original DD knows it had a kicking J-rock song at the main menu by B'z called Into Free Dangan. Due to licensing issues it was removed from Dark Arisen with some rather disappointing generic noodling.
For some reason the original song isn't up on Nexus but I just rehosted it since I still had it. Just search for Tittle_DDN.sngw in the install forlder and paste the downloaded one there. Then you too can go into free and be a bullet.

Thank you for this! This game isn't the same without the theme song. I love that they actually got B'z to make an English version of the song for this game. That has made this one of my go-to songs at Karaoke. "FLYING INTO FREEEEEEE!!!"
Thanks for sharing. I didn't even know the theme in the PC version was a replacement. A real shame they didn't re-license the song for the PC release, but at least we have the option of modidng it in. :)
Thank you very much for sharing. I saw this on a youtube let's play and it was one reason I got interested in this game. It was a pitty to not hear it after I finally bought it today!
Awesome! That cliché RPG Song in Dark Arisen got old pretty fast, made me wanna get out of the Menu as fast as possible :D
Hah. I remember this I never even knew there was more to the song than the piano part of the song. I never ever got to the part when the guitar even started with the PS3 game.

IMHO, the song doesn't fit the game except for the beginning before the guitar comes in, so I think it was the right choice to replace it. Though I do think the piano section of the original song fits well to the game, I definitely would have edited out the rest of the song and just looped the piano section if I were capcom. Though it would probably have been too expensive rather than just paying someone to make the current song.

They didn't choose, the Licence deal ended, and they didn't want to pay again for the Dark Arisen release.

Though it's personal taste, I can't stand the original, and prefer the replacement.

Wow, I had no idea the original was this cool.

Then again I had no idea what the original was in the first place. This is a no brainer replacement.

You are awesome, OP!
thanks, anythings better than that out of pitch high falsetto warbling that it comes with now. my whole family now mocks it monty python style whenever i load the game......................................... good times
I'm just glad if people get to be dangan.
And it should probably be noted that they already removed the song from the 360/PS3 version of Dark Arisen a couple of years ago.
They also took out the Guts ant Griffith armours and that's a damn shame.
