So i have DDDA on steam and everything works perfectly there.
Since i do not like steam aka the need to use a client to launch games.
I buy games from gog nowadays.
I wonder if i can still rent vassals from other players etc.
Thanks for the info,
Cheers

Yes, you can hire "vassals" from other players no problem. Other players on GOG, I mean. Steam and GOG use separate servers.
The issue with GOG version, apart from being underpatched, is that receiving rents (from ppl hiring your Pawn) is very much an issue - you'll fail to recover rents and gifts more often than not.

It is kinda lame that i will not have access to steam DDDA servers.
Are gog vassals any good? I have played DDDA on steam but if i won't have access to good vasals while playing on gog i do not see a reason to pick up this game on gog.

Comparably bad ;)
Though be aware that you will naturally have less to choose from. On a bright side, it's easier to search through fewer Pawns.
If I remember correctly there is a mod to increase stats and levels of your pawns. So it really doesn't matter if there are any good pawns available for rent.
Nexus has some mods like that for pawns.

Nexus also has some mod called dinput.dll or something that allows you to modify pawns in-game and afaik, it allows a lot of changes (skill changes , stats, etc.), basically just about anything.
