Okay, I own Dragon Age Origins Ultimate Edition on Steam...

So, as new games come on GOG, where do we go to find out if our games we already own on Steam can be downloaded from GOG.com (as per the announcement some months back)? I don't even see where to go have my list of Steam games checked again (like it did when I first followed the link in the initial announcement).

DAO isn't one of the games that works like that right now though, and I doubt it ever will considering it's EA.

there is no game at all at the moment... even the games that was available in the past are not available anymore

Well, I figured out how to make my profile public, but not how to make my Steam Privacy settings "public". This was after I had already linked the accounts. If the "Refresh" button doesn't work after this, I don't know what else will. The settings in Steam aren't exactly intuitive (or all in the same place).

As for DAO, it's now moot, as I purchased the GOG version as well (I couldn't pass up on the price).

I do not think a lot of titles are going to use Connect. Especially not older titles. There is not much benefit for the company releasing that title (they do not get money from people who use Connect to get the title on GOG). Furthermore imho there is also no real benefit for GOG. They do not get any money for titles "sold" via Connect, but they have to provide bandwidth for downloads and support for these games.

And in the end I think we as users will also not really benefit that much from Connect. Of course it is great to get titles we already own on Steam for free on GOG. But money is most of the times the incentive for companies. If there is not much money to be gained from releasing a title on GOG, why bother?

I think it is the opposite and promotes users to buy games on Steam...
I also have a copy at Steam, which is horrible and can only be installed by manual xml editing. There is absolute no support, all links and questions are forwarded to EA (after the usual 1 week wait, then ask for a screenshot support-delay).
I also have a copy at Origins, just because there I also have DA2 and DAI. I like the whole series very much.

True. So in the long run GOGConnect might even damage GOG.com and its users. I have no issue rebuying a game that I already own on a different (digital) platform. Better than some games not appearing on GOG.

Sorry for the off-topic (this is not really related to EA or DA:O).
