I'm sorry if this has already been asked, but I remember that the Steam version of this game had a memory leak issue which would make the game crash after playing for a while, it could be fixed by using a 64-bit patcher. Has this release fixed the memory-leak issue?
there is no memory leak in the gog version but it does suffer the normal issue like missing elven boots.
p.s, the bioware profile also works if you have unlocked any of the extras.
There IS a memory leak issue in the GOG version. For me, using laa worked. Look the solutions up here:

Try them from top to bottom. The one using laa (https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/threads/large-address-aware.112556/) to patch the exe worked for me.
memory paging is not the same thing as a memory leak nianiania
