Hello everyone! First of all, our apologies for the issues you've encountered with Dragon Age: Origins after it received the GOG Preservation Program update. We've missed the mark here, which generated inconveniences for some of you, and then we've been delaying too long with the rollback of Offline Installers to the previous version with working DLCs (we were holding off, thinking the solution is just around the corner, but it wasn't). We should have done this sooner.

Here's what we're going to do now:

1. Update the build today with a potential fix.
2. If said update won't resolve the issues and problems will continue, we'll roll back the Offline Installers to the last "non-problematic" version. This will also happen today if needed.
3. If point 2. will be necessary, we'll then continue to work on a permanent fix.

Now, we'd also like to thank you for your feedback and all the ideas for a solution that were posted in the Forums. They can help a lot. It indeed has to do with that one XML file, but due to how our Installers operate the suggested fixes proved inconsistent for the operating systems we support, which prevented us from publishing them. We found the potential culprit and we'll go with that today, then proceed accordingly to the aforementioned plan.

Once again, we apologize for the inconvenience that this generated. The silver lining here is that this is a great lesson learned for the future to avoid similar situations.

UPDATE:

Said build update from point 1. won't be published today so we're going straight to point 2.

New "old" Offline Installers are currently building and you should be able to access them shortly. They will have a different name, but please don't mind it - it's the same version that was accessible earlier (we had to rebuild according to the versioning from GOG GALAXY, hence also no patch this time).

Please keep in mind that this is a temporary solution while we tackle the game's issues. We'll bring you a new build with permanent fixes as soon as possible!

Hey all! Yesterday, we pushed the "update" that rolled back to the previous version on GOG GALAXY, and it should now be available for Offline Installers too. Please remember that this is only a temporary solution to let people access DLCs without problems.

We plan to have and publish a build with a permanent fix (LAA, good stability & performance, DLCs) this week. If that won't be the case then I'll update you here again. If you are enjoying your game just fine now via GOG GALAXY you can disable auto-updates and continue playing.
Hey all! A quick update before the weekend: we couldn't push the permanent fix just yet, and need some additional time to do that. Please bear with us a little longer!
