This occurred just after I left the house.

GOG version is certainly finishable.

No worries. I stayed up rather late last night to finish the game. I quite enjoyed it.

While playing I noticed the game would crash and had a few other bugs such as items in my inventory being unclickable or overlapping. There were a few crashes and two events in the game repeated itself that obviously should not have. None of these things kept me from enjoying the game and finishing it gave me a newfound appreciation for The Cat Lady.

The event where that error message that I mentioned in my first post occurred was when I was playing Agnes immediately after she left the house. I suspect I clicked on her at the moment she left the house which is when the error message came up.

I thought I might post the error message in case the developer might find it useful. I'm not sure if he visits here very frequently though. Not a big deal.

They are remaking the game from scratch in the style of The Cat Lady :)

Thanks, yes the game is being remade, amongst the reasons because we can no longer fix the old Downfall ;( Sorry if you experience a problem. There'll be proper support and fixes available for the remake.

Did you find any game-breaker? GOG version is certainly playable to the end...

As mediocre as I consider Downfall to be, a remake can only improve that game. Esspeacially if the creator decides to add some more stuff and refurbish what was already given.
Once the remake is out, I'm positive to make it a Day #1 Purchase. I loved "The Cat Lady".

I think I might have. Not sure if this count as a game breaker, but I got stuck, my character won't move, period. Seems like I'll have to start a new game, unless someone answers my post in the forum. However, I haven't encountered this scripting bug.

As I have just finished playing through the GOG version of this game I can say that it is completable and was stable for me. Playing on Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit with older ATI graphics card.

I did see the over lapping inventory items bug but it did not stop from playing through to the end and I am glad I purchased this game as it was really enjoyable.

Sorry to hijack this thread but I really need to know how to get in the fridge to get the beer? it says that its shut and cant be opened :/ so confused!!
