rako1911: So I found my CD key on the Website, but it is not accepted in the game itself. Also the RoE Key is also pre entered, but not the same as on the website - and changing it does not solve the problem either - does anyone else face the same problem?
yeah i do .. i tried all possible ways, but it always says the key is invalid
Doom 3 is open-source. So, there are source ports for it, and they don't include the CD key check. They just require you to own a copy of the game. The websites for these ports will tell you which game files you'll need for the port and how to get it running.

I ended up using one called "Dhewm3" (after about half an hour of testing, there were a small number of visual glitches - flickering weapon/monster models during a few moments - and one crash to desktop, but it... mostly... ran as well as I remember the game running back in the mid-2000s :) ).

Somehow I missed the instructions on here about how to find the key. Still, if you're having problems with it, then source ports are an option.

@anyone: If the serial keys in your account (under the "More" dropdown for Doom 3) don't work, all I can suggest is contacting Support. (You'll have to deal with the bot first but eventually you should be able to contact a person if the bot doesn't help.)

This used to be the old GUI. Now GOG has changed it's GUI to new version. I cannot find this menu any more :(

AmethystViper: The digital releases of Doom 3 on Steam and GOG have a very stupid way of handling inserting CD keys. If you run into the situation where only was inserted and not the other, for example RoE's CD key was registered but not base Doom 3 upon launch, some users suggest launching launching into RoE instead and registering base Doom 3's CD key that way. I tried this method but strangely it seems to work with either game, I only need to register base Doom 3's CD key and the game accepted it, same for when I recreated Doom 3 having it's key pre-inserted but not RoE's. If you ran into both games have their respective fields are completely empty, then you have to enter BOTH CD keys together on that screen regardless of the game, registering only one set of CD keys will cause the game to complain the other didn't validate the missing CD key for the other game. It's also important to not that when entering the CD keys, they are NOT case sensitive from my testing but you need to make sure enter final two characters in the CD key at the appropriate field since originally the game's installer from the original discs had the keys being registered during installation in this 18-character alpha-numeric format:

####-####-####-####-##

But registering the CD keys in-game, it is in this format where one string holds 16 out of the 18 characters and the last 2 characters in another in the same field (press Tab to switch between different fields):

################ ##

If you're still having issues trying to fill out your CD keys in-game, try deleting any files with the keyword key in the filename from either base and d3xp folders and then try again. Alternatively, you can try to create a doomkey and xpkey by creating a blank text file with no file extensions but in this format in ALL CAPS with NO spaces in between each character:

##################

I hope this might anyone out with getting the game to accept their CD keys.
I just want to play coop doom, so this doom3 is necessary for LMS, as the BFG edition does not seem to load mods i pass on the command line.

After installing Last Man Standing, the game asks for a cd key and i can not even click on the ui to select the textboxes to input the cd keys.

I will try to manually create the files for the cd keys.

No I'm having the same problem man....
OK, found it! So it seems there are two ways to get to your list of games, the good one showing More > Serial Keys menu is: (from gog.com page opened in your browser)

1. Click on your account-name in the upper bar
2. Select "Games"
3. Then click on "Doom 3" (showed in a kind of wood shelf)

You will have now the game displayed below with information like: System: Windows // Language: English...
.. and just right of that, "More v" drop-down menu. Just click "More" and you will have "Serial Keys" option.

I'm attaching a couple of screenshots here.
