Heretic 2 especially with the CD music patched in.

Also need to see Quake 2 on here with CD music patched in.
I think Heretic 2 (and Hexen II: Portal of Praevus) were both published by Activision, which is why neither of those ever made it to Steam. I really hope GOG figures something out and they do bring those here. I still have Heretic 2, but stupidly lost my Portal of Praevus CD.
Defiantly, the version of Heretic I played when I was younger only had three episodes, was missing the music, and was laggy as heck. Still liked the game though.
I agree! Heretic was the best fps at the time, I personally liked it even more than Doom.

I could not stand Hexen though, and Heretic 2 was... well, to me: third person view == sucks.

Yeah....Hexen 2 is another one I've been trying to get for a long time. That would be nice too.
Heretic 2 sucked, frankly. It was like they were trying to turn it into another Diablo.

Hexen is not for everybody. It was an attempt to add some complexity and classic RPG fantasy elements to the FPS format. Some feel they succeeded, others did not. If it's just pure action you are looking for, Heretic is a better bet.
Heretic 1 was awesome.

Hope we will see it on Gog some day.

I bought the shadows of serpent riders sealed copy from ebay for 10 bucks 3 years back and beat it 4-5 times. Amazing game.

Lot of fond memories of HeXen myself. Wife and I played the heck out of it on the N64 back in the day. One of the few FPS she'd play with me. We'd played a lot of co-op DOOM as well. =)

Herretic is a game, which I have always wanted to play. That and Hexen :)

I don't see how Heretic II and Diablo are in any way similar. Diablo is about grinding in randomly-generated dungeons in isometric view; Heretic II is about jumping around in hand-made levels in third person view. If I had to compare it to a different game, I'd say Tomb Raider.

Heretic II is very different from the Doom-like formula in Heretic, but I wouldn't say it sucked. It emphasize combos and acrobatics over shooting. When you get the hang of it, it's pretty fun to lay waste to enemies by pole-vaulting into their face.

both good games IMHO
Hexen II and its expansion pack Portal of Pravevus would be very nice to make it here. Also, the first Heretic was a very inovative title and so on Hexen: Beyond Heretic. One of the best atmospheres in classic FPS games. I will never forget the grip of this game and how beautiful gloomy was some of its levels, for example Darkmere or Heresiarch's Seminary wit its Chapel levels.

Well, you got one of those addressed, at least. :P
Is the cd music included in game in Q 1 and 2? thanks.
