Is it possible that Don't Starve would work on 10.6.8? The only reason I ask is I have read about people using games on unsupported hardware/OS's claiming the results were do-able. Thanks :)

i am running 10.6.8 and the game runs flawlessly; i believe i have had one crash since i bought it, and that was at gog release.
