Picked this up for my wife over the weekend, and tonight she was asking me where the mods folder was. I spent a good deal of time looking around the Internet for where exactly GOG puts the mods folder on this version - it wasn't where it was supposed to be under any version of the game.

Well, I finally found it, and I thought I might leave this here in case anyone else finds it helpful.

Go into the Don't Starve app (/Applications/Don't Starve/Don't Starve.app) and right click and select "Show Package Contents." Select the Contents and then the Resources folders and you will find another Don't Starve.app. Right click this one, select "Show Package Contents," and, as you would expect, you'll find the mods folder inside of Contents.
