I didn't have any problems installing the game, but when I try to run it I get a generic "dontstarve.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

Running Windows XP SP3
3 GB RAM
Radeon X1200

I've tried updating it as well, and it hangs on file 88/189 with:
