I purchased Divinity Original Sin and the source hunter DLC awhile ago. I put the game aside due to difficulty issues and recently started playing again using the enhanced edition.

I seem to recall seeing the source hunter DLC items in a lets play video I was watching. However, when I started my game I didn't have them items.

Am I missing something?

auroraparadox: However, when I started my game I didn't have them items.
There is a known issue with the Galaxy update for the game, resulting in the golden grail and Zandalor's trunks not showing up. If a save is loaded in a non-Galaxy version (Steam, or reverting to the pre-Galaxy 2.0.119.430 game release) the items will show up, and if re-saved, will remain if loaded in a Galaxy version.

In Galaxy if you select the game in the left column, click the More button and select Settings, you can choose a game version if auto-updates are unchecked.

Thank you for responding Raze

Just to confirm, if I revert the game to an older version using Galaxy and then load my save the items will appear?

Once I do this, Can I set my set my game back to the latest version without breaking something?

I'd like to keep my save game intact since I got some good drops early on.

EDIT: Will Larian be releasing a patch to correct this glitch?

Yes. You can revert to the non-Galaxy 2.0.119.430 version, load/save and then update again to the latest Galaxy version and the saves will be fine. You could make a copy of the install folder when reverted, so you wouldn't need to revert/update for any future games you start.

I emailed the people who were looking into this issue after the Galaxy update, to see if they recall what the problem was or if there is an easier fix/workaround.

Thanks for the help Raze. I reverted my game and now have both items.

Hey! Any chances to see a fix from Larian for this Galaxy issue?
You don't need revert, only logout from gog, play the game and save, then you can log in to gog.

What do you mean by that? If one is using the Galaxy version, then how does one "logout from gog and play the game," exactly?

As the advice from Raze given in this thread does not work for me (and I presume it also does not work for others) because the Galaxy client does not offer the option to revert to the " pre-Galaxy 2.0.119.430" version.

So yes, Larian definitely should still fix this issue.

If you log out from gog you can still start the game in gog client. Items will appear in your bag when you do this. Then just save the game and you can log in to gog (if you want :).

Oh, now I see what you mean, and your solution actually worked for me, Leuu. Thanks for sharing it.

The reason why I was confused is because when I start the game, or the client, then I become automatically logged into GOG. So I didn't realize it was possible to logout and still play the game.

Although I still think Larian should fix this issue with a patch, because most users will probably never realize that they are supposed to have these two items, yet do not because of an unpatched bug.

It's GOG you don't need client to play :D
And it's even "easier" to logout from client and start the game without "active" gog than start the game directly from game directory without gog :)

Yes they should fix this even if it's easy to do by yourself...but as you say, you need to know that you miss something (like my english lessons:)
