Is there some trick I'm missing when you try to compare the before and after stat changes for armor and weapons in inventory versus what you have currently equipped? Usually the item description is long enough that it's at least partially blocking the stats panel so I can't see parts of the red/green comps. If one of the two is part of an armor/weapon set with a long description, then the stats panel is totally blocked and I can't see anything. There's got to be some way to either hide the descriptions or make them transparent when you are doing this. (Also just want to say curses on Larian for making all their game names so similar. It's ridiculously hard to successfully search the web or a forum for information about Divinity 2, because anything you search for brings up 100 results for Divinity 2 Original Sin for every one for Divinity 2.)

Right click a piece of equipment to bring up the context menu for that item, and it will remove the tooltips (left click the item slot, anywhere not on one of the menu options, to restore them). This will let you mouse over different pieces of equipment and see the stat changes. It would just be the items under the (much smaller) context menu that could be blocked, but if you have enough items that is an issue, you should be able to move things around to work around that.
