I agree with Swen Vincke - Divinity 2 was, imo, unfairly criticized for purportedly "poor" voice acting, above and beyond high budget numbers. Only I wish Larian would do better here, and now.

For example:

D.E.S.E.X and "like leeches to a plump girl's legs" and "adorable Isabela"? I'd really love to know whom voiced all that! Whenever I replay Divinity 2, I look fwd to that confrontation because it is so extravagant and amusing, really I do.

Or post facilitating the affair of the black-smith in opening village - I thought "Oi, Slayer! What a wonderful day it is!" was a small but to the point performance.

So we know generally whom the voice actors of Original Sin (enhanced edition) are, but we have not been told whom they voiced, officially, as far as I know:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3910022/

Have you recognized any voice actors to Original Sin characters? Or even speculate?

Please post even flimsy ideas! I simply cannot understand why we do not have a fully mapping direct from Larian - and I do love them, very much.
The voice acting was done by Side UK Ltd. You should contact them.

Uh-oh, perso I think Larian should promote the voice actors whose performance makes Original Sin what it is.

Especially when there was a point from Swen Vincke "is including more voice lines worth it for extended edition, because non-AAA are put down unfairly for their voice work?"

I am pleased Larian went with paying for voice work - but not to make voice actors known for which NPC they did - disappointing, in view of Vincke's earlier criticism.

I love you Larian, but promote those voice actors already!

A lot of us gamers really love and appreciate the voice work, besides, and would love to know whom they are fans of, eh. :-D
OK, here goes, what I think I have noticed:

Alix Wilton Regan: narrator, Time Weaver.
Timothy Watson: Jahan

And I really thought Arhu could have been "Captain Slayne" of Risen 2 - very similar accent, to my ears at least, but Ian Drysdale did not figure in D:OS credits, so it cannot be.

I agree entirely. I found it quite astonishing that the voice actors were not even acknowledged in the lengthy credits, yet the Kickstarter backers were each named individually, in a full ten minutes of scrolling text. Mind boggling. **

** Edit: Mind boggling considering that they have their moment of fame in-game.

I do think Larian can do better here, but let us not get this wrong.

I KickStarted Original Sin some - but I never bother to fill a spread-sheet. I back a game because I want it to succeed.

To know that Original Sin was a commercial and critical success, and not to see my moniker there was not an issue.

I would meanwhile feel more that a little bad if "HTK in memoriam - kilpikonna liikkuu" is not there.

No, let us not. I have no issue with backers being mentioned. My point was, and I stated it, that the "voice actors were not even acknowledged". Voice actors actively participate via their talents. Backers passively participate via their pocket. Voice actors have priority in credits. If this was a movie it could never happen -- even basic catering is recognised there.

I do find crowd-funding really a great financing innovation, and in case of D:OS and, say, Torment Numenara it was probably quite instrumental in providing working capital that was materially and sorely needed.

Only that I think it could and should be made more transaction cost efficient, because it is essentially pre-payment with all risk transferred to the fans. Bur I rant...

My core frustration is with the fact that it would be so easy for Larian to ensure we know whom voices whom, because they paid for the voice work, and they dictate the service level agreement.

I admit though, I should take care to post this "suggestion for future" in Larian fora, too.

As to voice actors:

Alix Wilton Regan: also voices Ruby, in Silverglen.

Damn, I fear I only recognize her, and Timothy Watson, of whom I am a pretty big fan!

I'm curious about that too. I did ask this on the forums (back when the voice actors were uncredited) and they admited that they forgot to put them here (they added them in a patch).

All of Larian games seems to leave their voice actors without telling them who's who (that includes Beyond Divinity, Divinity 2, Divinity Dragon Commander and Divinity Original Sin: Enhanced Edition). The other two games (Divine Divinity, Divinity Original Sin (vanilla)) had no voice actors credited at all.

You can try asking in the Larian forums. You might get luckier than I. After all, the cast list for Dragon Commander (including the characters) was eventually revealed in the forums.

I would like to know, if you really mean it like this. Pray tell.
