Warmskin: "Sorry about that" is not good enough! Don't just put us off, please.
I was apologizing for suggesting a possible workaround that didn't work. I found mention of the program in a search for inverting the mouse in games, and thought it might work at a lower level than it actually does.

Of course I understand what you were referring to. I have read every word of every post here. From your response it doesn't seem that *you* have. Please don't insult my intelligence (and everyone else here) by giving an answer that sounds like you were just running in our recent election. Did you read my *entire* post? I just want a response to whether or not this problem will be addressed (and *when*). Look, I'm not trying to give you a hard time about this. I'm not a little kid (no offense to little kids). I'm an adult. If you can't or won't give us an answer to if and when this will be fixed then please have someone else from your company (btw, a company which has earned a great deal of respect up until now) respond to our inquiries. Please, Raze_Larian, we just want to know whether or not our money has been spent on ~a half of a game. A really *good* game or I wouldn't be wasting my time (or yours) with all of this. And if you guys won't fix it then we'll just move on.
BTW, Does anyone else out there know how to hack into this and fix what seems to be a really simple problem? My programming skills are limited. Thanks. And thanks again, Raze. No hard feelings...
I read your entire post. I clarified what I said sorry for because it was not an attempt to 'put you off' and didn't comment on the rest because I've already posted everything I know about the possibility of a fix. I can ask again, but didn't get a definitive response last time...

If you *could* ask again, that would be great. Whatever you can do, keep us posted. Thanks.
Here is a download link for replacement executable files with a Y-axis 'hotfix'.
This is an unofficial update (no formal QA procedure, etc), specifically to fix the Y-axis invert problem in dragon form; if you don't want to invert the camera controls during flight, then you don't need this hotfix.

Rename the Divinity2.exe and Divinity2-debug.exe files in the D2:DC install folder (add a .bak extension, or something) and copy the updated versions extracted from the hotfix zip file.

If there is a patch released for D2:DC at some point, then this fix will be officially included.

I'm still on the fence about this game, but if an official patch is included that adds invert-Y for dragon mode, I'll be one additional sale, if that's worth anything.

Haven't had a chance to try this out yet, but I certainly do appreciate what you and the team have done. Thanks very much! I'll let you know as soon as I get an opportunity (some other pressing things happening in RL right now). Thanks again.

I've downloaded the executables and so far the fix seem to work just fine for me. Thanks for fixing this problem. It is going to be easier to enjoy the game now when you don't have to fight the controls. Good job Raze and the devs of Larian!
Just to clarify, this update was tested by Larian when they made the fix, and the nature of the changes required meant it was unlikely to effect other parts of the game. If it had not been a relatively straightforward fix, the full patch procedure would have been required, which would have significantly delayed making it available.

The formal patch procedure involves testing by Larian and all the publishers with each of the language versions, against all of the previous game versions (though with D2:DC being a new release, there are no earlier patches in this case). When the testing is done there are also legal and bureaucratic procedures with getting the update to all of the different distributors, which could involve additional time and testing.

Thanks for following through with this. Now I can pick up where I left off. :-)

Now there really ought to be a sticky of this solution in the Divinity forum until the next patch is released inclusive of the fix. Any way to make that happen?
