Is anyone able to tell me the chronological order of the games? I own them all on gog and would love to play them in the correct order in the timeline of the game, even if they don't necessarily need to be.

I can guess what the order is, but this could be wrong:

Dragon Commander
Original Sin
Divine Divinity
Beyond Divinity
Divinity II

What makes you think that?

It's come up a few times at the Larian forums but I couldn't find them in a quick search.

I just asked them on twitter. Maybe they will answer. I will post the respond, when it arrives.

What you did gave me an idea; I PM a long time forum user there that is big on Divinity II - I think that route is more likely to get an answer since the developers have been very busy for the past few months and don't have much time for replies.
Edit: OK; it has come up but the reasoning behind it was unclear. Bottom line: disregard what I said.

I would only trust developers comments, in general.
