That's the changelog inside the guide and from the personal site of Myrthos, one of the authors of the guide.

I got the update flag, and the game itself had the "updated" flag in the list, but the strategy guide did not show as updated.

Yep, I figured. Unfortunately, I have no ETA on when this is going to be fixed. Sorry :(

could it be possible for extras content to put a flag *new* or "updated" (regardless the status)

reason : if i check the downloader , it says one game updated , well i check the game updated and nothing is flagged :

when you will start to understand this situation just sucks ? (even with all your good intentions, i don't have a doubt about that)

GOG vs Steam regardless the infos & method to give the updates is just night & day

ps : my post seems a bit late ;)

Ah, but the fabled site update is "just around the corner", yes? ;-p

It might be around the corner or in a back alley somewhere. Your guess is as good as mine :)
Something has to be done to the update system.

In my library this game was indicated to have an update, but when I chose it nothing was shown as updated. It's silly to have to check the forums to see what has changed every time a game is updated.

Even the GOG downloader knows something has been updated, it just doesn't know what. It would be nice if the downloader could have the update queued and ready to go if the person needs or wants it.

Surely someone in GOG can grace us with the knowledge of when this is. Some of us have spent a lot of money here, some feedback would be nice.

Hm. My Divine Divinity got flagged as updated. Haha.

The Mac, French version got a fix for some graphical issues (see the sticky topic) and the PC version was updated to include the music fix (still haven't gotten around to re-downloading it, but that is the only change I know of).

I am hoping that once we get closer to the site-wide update, we'll be able to give a real update instead of just stating, as we have been, that it's coming soon. Believe me, we don't like being secretive about these kind of things but sometimes we have to be. Imagine how you'd feel if one of us told you that the update, or anything else for that matter, was coming in such-and-such time and then it didn't happen until much, much later?

I can imagine such a situation involving torches and pitch-forks. ;)

If this were to happen I would have to ask how did John Romero take over GOG?
