The game is balanced, and there is nothing too hard even at the the last but one difficulty. I am sure you might find it boring and too easy on lesser levels of difficulty though.
I've played some games but I'm still a beginner. I find the landscape confusing--I can't see where I'm going. I find the combat confusing--too many flashes and I can't find the enemy. I find the story confusing. I want a manual which explains how to do everything because i can't think outside the box. I want sijmplicity. I don'r want to play 500 hours.

Yes, I like games; my favorite is running through the grass and hills in Oblivion, ignoring thr story. Each to his own . . ..

P. S. How about more light contrast on this screen? I find the type confusing.
I fully agree with first post.

This game simply sucks, because the game is cheating all the times. I am playing on hard level (not the highest difficulty) + tactician mode.

There is not any fight where would not be any bug or a cheat used by game. Typically fighter has 65% probability to hit - it happens regularly that out of seven tries no hit is done - it could be happening with chance 0.064%, unfortunately this is common.

On the same level NPC has 1.5-5 more hitpoints/ phy armour / mag armour -> on level 5 my fighter has 160 /40 /20 whereas common ranger (not fighter) has 200 /100 /100. Of course they have skills which are not available to you. Moreover they are doing damage which implies that their stats are usually 2-4 levels higher with equipment which is not available to you. Amour 100 belongs to level 7-8. Once NPC dies it leaves no equipment because it has disappeared. NPC even one or 2 levels below you they have better stats than you.

I bought a game few days ago, so I thought that it would not be so buggy. But you can walk through the door without any problem. You cannot block path up NPC simply walks through you. You can throw barrel on someone as game claims that place is occupied. NPC can shoot you from a place below but you can shoot back because it is not in line of sight etc. etc. etc.

And what is the best on this game? That you are not allowed to lower difficulty :)

Larian sucks as this game does. I have finished Divinity 1 and 2, Divinity Ego Draconis and DD 1. But I think that this game I will let go. It time to play Kingdom Come.

So this is the new "Dark Souls" is what you are saying?
I never played Part 2 yet, but I played Part 1 all the way through on Tactician difficulty (which is the hardest setting, except for another version of the same difficulty mode that only gives you one saved game and automatically deletes it if you die).

I found DOS 1: EE on Tactician to be brutally hard for the first 15 or so levels (the characters max out between levels 20-23, presuming the player doesn't exploit an infinite XP glitch).

The reason I chose Tactician difficulty instead of "Classic"/Normal mode is because for 99% of games released in approximately the past 15 years, "Normal mode" actually equates to "Very Easy" mode. That's a huge flaw in the industry.

I'm glad that the DOS series is returning "Normal difficulty" back to where it should be, which is challenging as opposed to cakewalk that anyone can do without effort. I hope they keep skewing all of their future games to the Hard side, because it's way better to have a game that is too hard than one that is too easy. If a game has little to no challenge, then there's no point to play it: instead, one might as well just watch "Let's Play" videos of it on youtube.

No, it is not a Dark Soul, I have finished DS 1 and DS2, and at least DS1 despite of being difficult it was fair.

Here we are talking about game cheating - in every fight in every ocassion.

E.g. I am fighting against Rebecca (witch) which at level 6 and I am at level 7. She has only 15 HP, her companion cast on her regeneration, which regenerate 30 HP, I stunned her because she has not any armor. Now it is my thief turn - suddenly she has 135 HP and 20 armor :).

Path finding - I managed to kill Rebecca, my leader was standing upon top of rock, with party member standing next to him. The game decided that there is a better place for the party member just below rock - he run below a rock where was a fire which immediatly killed him :). Have you noticed that AI find a way always through fire, mines and even next to Shrikers - of course instant kill.

Now I firstly met Alexander - he was at level 7. I managed to get to level 7 to have at least some chance - I came to Alexander and what a suprise? He is at level 8, with all the companions - So there were doing quests as well :)
There is a small problem - I do not have any quest open - so I can not get to level 8. Such a pity. Now on a hard level with tactician it means game end - because you can only defeat monsters one level below you and with chance 1:10 monsters on the same level.

Have you notice that water/ blood spills always towards you? Even if you are standing at much higher ground? That electiricified water does not hit an enemy standing 2 m from a electricity bulb whereas it hits you when you are standing 15m far?

Another bugs:
A fire arrow will not blow up oil barrel if shotted directly at it, you must target ground next to it.
When you stun an opponent. You should have 100% probability of hit - of course in the game you can miss despite of enemy lying on ground helplessly.
When you teleport enemy and the fight starts, anyone will assume that the person who has used teleport should be running first, not the enemy.
Rain does not work when you have 2 areas with different elevation etc.

This game simply sucks as do Larian.

|HI agree with you (but i wlould not say this game is bad even if i prefer the first one)
specially when u play this game in LAN ..... alot of non sense and bugs
but why LARIAN didnt simply keep the first one and add new stuff ?
was late to launch the game ?
wanted to make more playable for console ? coz for example no difference btwn bow and crossbow ...no need to learn skills for crafting ......feel like LARIAN studio making games for console first .............
I'd say the game was good--some games don't work at all--but not great.
I'm at level 13. I don't like the battles--too confusing. The landscape is unappealing. And I can't make sense of the plot.
I wouldn't recommend it for most folks.
For everybody, if you do not think that this game is bad, than try to play it on higher difficulty. All nonsenses will come out clearly. Now I am on level 15. I trying to fight an enemy on level 14 - one sorcerer which was hidden in sarcophagus in mines. It is really funny.

She starts the round with 5 beast appearing next to you - she has something like 10 AP per round - within one round she summons 2 creatures - drink 2 bottles and casts flight and moves. WTF? 10 APs? 2 summons? Any of your party members cannot have 2 summons, but she can.

And of course these summons are always created next to your mage and have higher priority -> so after 6 attacks your mage is death. So in fact you suppose to win a fight 3 to 8.

And if you put away mages to enter fight with delay and casts your summons -> one of them disappears.
It simply repeats every fight, there is not any exception. Even if you try to level up more there is not guarantee that you would win a fight, because they are employing stupid level scaling for some enemys.

So could you call a game which has terrible design, cheating, breaking own rules as a good one?
No, Larians sucks.
