Blistig: The patch is available for manual download now :)

Redkinn: 3.0.141.999_(14970) does not resolve the issue. So yes it's available but still no functional fix.
3.0.142.47 was available to me when I wrote that, and I believe that's the new one. Not sure why you haven't access to it yet.

That one is available as well, and also doesn't fix it. But people had said 141.999 was the hotfix for the save issue, hence that's the one I mentioned.

.47 is the fix, as seen here

How do you manually download these patches for Gog?

If you go to settings under the game and uncheck "automatically update to latest patch", it'll let you select versions that exist to update to manually.

Same here, my saves still take forever to load and sometimes crash, maybe it only fixed it for fresh games?

It's worse than it seems. I finished my chapter and wanted to move on and the game crashes.

So this bug literally causes you to crash in these scenarious:

Any loading of saves from in game.
Going back to main menu.
Or finishing chapter and loading the next.

Basically I am stuck until a fix is done, and the IT ticket hasn't had a response in several days :(

I had this issue also, mainly in the Blackpits area (fps tanked there too for some reason) but it "fixed" itself after a few hours and I haven't had it return since. Can't say I did anything special aside from getting out of the area where it was causing me problems.

Actually yeah now that you mentioned it I played some more and now my saves now load ever so slightly faster and haven't had crash in 6 hours.

And the mb size of my save games stopped growing so quickly, before patch my saves went from 6mb to 12mb in a couple of days, I've played quite a bit since yesterday and my saves have only gone from 12.6mb to 12.9.

I imagine if I had patched earlier in my playthrough it would be a lot smoother but for the most part the issue seems to have fixed itself for me after a while.

HI players of DoS 2

unfortunatly LARIAN studio made the same mistake than other publishers
( i read alot of comment about this game)

- didnt keep what playerrs like in DoS 1

- put same game on consoles and PCs (why not an arcade version for consoles and real RPG for PCs )
New patch is out now. Sadly still no fix. Game crashes when loading, and when you try to advance past end of chapter.

I'm not sure about others, but I'm not trying to re-play 40+ hours worth of game to see if a new save will fix the problem or also gain this bug later on.

Please email supportdos2@larian.com, with a description and your latest save (or a Dropbox or Google drive link, etc).
Each save is a folder in the '..\Documents\Larian Studios\Divinity Original Sin 2\PlayerProfiles\<ProfileName>\Savegames\Story' folder.
In Windows Explorer you can zip file(s) and folder(s) by right clicking on it/them and selecting 'Send To | Compressed (zipped) Folder'.

Already have Raze, it's been three days since my email with my saves went out. I get you guys are busy, so trying to wait patiently. The game has been amazing otherwise to that point.
