Hi,

Just bought game. First time I ran it on GoG a screen popped up asking if I was ok to allow devs to see my system details. Thinking it was optional I chose no thanks, then waited for the game to load. The screen flashs for an instant then the play button on Gog goes back to green. Nothing happens. Tried reinstalling but still nothing happens (no pop up screen from devs this time). Even running as administrator does nothing. Verifying files does nothing.

Tried rolling back to earlier patches still nothing.

Anyone had this problem or a solution? Any way to get the pop up screen back if that's the problem?

Running 3.0.160.028 on Win 8.1 64 bit.

If there's no work around will have to ask for money back and try the steam version which I would prefer not to do.

Hi,

I think I have the same Problem.
I bought an installed the game yesterday, the same screen you mentioned popped up and I chose "no" as well. I also tried uninstalling and newinstalling it, but the screen is not coming back.

I'm not using GOG-Galaxy, using windows 10 and the newest GOG-Version 3.0.171.819.

Have you, or anyone else found a solution for this problem?

Thank you very much!
I denied to send failure reports&system Details too, i can play normally buut...after starting the game i have to wait for a failure notice "no connection etc..." to pop up and click that i noticed that my dos2 isn't allow to phone home.

You might have the same "problem", after starting the game and the "backflash" just wait a moment, maybe tab through your open programms and see if the notice popped up, then just click it aweay and enjoy the game.

So what happens when you run the game directly from it's exe shortcut--found in the bin folder, EoCapp.exe? That's the only way I have ever run the game. No problems. BTW, the Steam version and the GOG version are identical.

Running from the short cut I created from EoCapp.exe in the bin folder still works well for me: Still the only way I have run game as well.

Kirin...I only now looked at the date of your original post...;) No doubt you solved that problem a while ago! Good deal!

Yes, I use Galaxy for updating (simply because it is faster) but I run everything from a game's exe shortcut...;)
