I was wondering if you would be able to re recruit a companion (origin character) after you send hi/her away, since it seems like other characters would offer other "quests" so I would love to do them as well, but I'm afraid that I wont be able to bring my sweet Red Prince.

If you are allowed to do it, how? Also is there a time limit or regional restriction?

I can only speak for the beginning of the game, as I am still lvl 6 running around Fort Joy, but you can send them off and then get them to join you again at any time, without any noticeable attitude loss towards you (for noticeable I mean that nothing appears over their head signaling it).

Do know that the positions where you find them in order to ask them to regroup can change during the game, as you progress with the story and discover new locations.

You must choose the party you want to have with you between Act 1 and 2, the characters that were not in your party at the end of act 1 won't join you any longer in Act 2 so make you sure you stick with your favorites, you can't see all companion quests in one playthrough because of this.

Without spoiling too much, when you get on board the Magister's ship in the island, the Lady Vengeance, that's when you have to make sure you recruit the companions you want.

So I sent away Fayne (I'm still at Port Joy) and I believe that I looked everywhere but I can't seem to find him. Any idea where he went? I'd really like to re recruit him for 1 last time.

I just looked up that location, no I didn't check that place yet, I'm still at the Fort Joy Ghetto area, hmm it's a bit strange that you can only get him back that far into the game. I know you could get there pretty fast if you rush, but I have 10 hour game time and still having fun (I know I'm really slow, but there's so much things to do!) at this area, haven't really did anything at the Fort Joy(location) (other than escaping from prison).

So personally I would really like to see him appear at "pre Fort Joy(location)" it just feels odd that you are forced to progress so much when you are still at the beginning part of the game, where you just deciding what companions you want to have.

Anyways thanks for the tip, I'll check him there once I get there!
