So i'm playing as Ifan and i'm on the first island and so far in the game its all been great with no lag or glitches. Yet out of no where when i go to talk to Sebille spying on that lizard guy the dialogue and the rest of the game starts lagging like its on death row about to executed. I'm forced to pick a choice and then go to load menu, go out of the load menu and then the choice registers. If i don't do that it just never registers the choice and now every conversation is like this. even just walking around lags up the game now.

Anyone els run into this? is this going to get fixed on launch or am I screwed?

hampusjo95: when i go to talk to Sebille
If you reload and skip talking to her, does that avoid the problem? can you talk to her with other characters, if you've recruited any?

Try verifying local files, if you are using Galaxy: select Divinity: Original Sin 2 in the left column, then click on the More button, and in the Manage menu select 'Verify / Repair'.

Please email supportdos2@larian.com, with a description (or link to this topic) and a save before speaking to Sebille and maybe one after (or a Dropbox or Google drive link, etc).
Each save is a folder in the '..\Documents\Larian Studios\Divinity Original Sin 2\PlayerProfiles\<ProfileName>\Savegames' folder. In Windows Explorer you can zip file(s) and folder(s) by right clicking on it/them and selecting 'Send To | Compressed (zipped) Folder'.

There is a similar (moderately rare) issue at the end of the first act where a few people have experienced lag with opening containers and companion following issues, fixed by reloading and entering the final section again, or the problem can go away after proceeding far enough to trigger a certain event.
