I expect we'll get the same behavior from GOG, of removing patches.

This first one is all down to Larian, though

What idiot thought it was a good Idea to remove the DOS2 standalone installer, and needlessly Bundle "Classic" with "Definitive Edition".

Making the DE download 45 GB instead of being half that size, or less. Standalone DOS2 is 27.6 GB

Great job considering those with Data Caps Larian, taking lessons in stupidity from GOG Patch team are we?

So before DE even gets patched, we have DOS2 removed completely, and seeing as either I missed a patch , or two or GOG skipped them, and Standalone is never getting updated again, I'll start this with the Final standalone game, and editor.
There's no patch to get from DOS2 to DOS2DE, so owners are forced to use the double sized download

The Old thread with all the patches I have, is here if you need an older version
All Patches GOG has removed, so you can update from the original release

As always, I'll only upload what GOG and/or Larian have removed as I'm a firm believer in all patches, and/or game versions being available to all paying customers, especially when they are modded.

Mod tools should be available to everyone, some great mods have been made by people that don't even own the game, but do know how to make changes to it's code.

If GOG and/or Larian made all versions available, I'd not be doing their job for them.

The Final version of DOS2 is

divinity_original_sin_2_editor_v9

Holy moly...

Don't get me wrong. I hate GoGs pathcing policy as well, and it is the main reason why i will not buy big (in regards to filezise) new releases here. And you are to be commended for gathing those patches.
But uploading a full installer? That goes to far, and i would recommend to take it down.

I do not know if GoG downloads are fingerprinted, but if they are, this can easily be traced to your account, and i do not think GoG would be very amused to see this.
I'm not bothered by the patches myself (I usually don't download the installer of bigger releases until they are at least half a year old) but now, I REALLY hate how Larian decided to bundle the classic and the definitive edition into one installer, bloating it's size to over 40GB. I don't have unlimited HDD storage space >:(
In case of Original Sin 1, I only kept the installer of the enhanced edition, that was enough, but now I MUST keep both.... ugh. Not to mention that this way installing via galaxy took me over 8 hours because it downloaded over 20GB totally pointlessly... -_-
What I don't get - can't try the game right now: If the required install space is 25GB as per store page, then why is the installer 40 gigs?
The new offline installer contains both versiond of the game. The original and the definitive version.
Why GoG did it this way, no one know, but it is not a good decision in my opinion.
And not only you have to download both, you also have to install both, taking first a really long time and 54 Gigabyte of space.

Ranayna: And not only you have to download both, you also have to install both, taking first a really long time and 54 Gigabyte of space.
But then the store page is wrong, because it says system requirements 25GB storage space.

I haven't been able to download the new installers yet, this sounds like a real waste of ressources.
Oh my God,

Why there's no patch for 9669 version? I have to re-download all 45GB installing files? Please release the patch, I believe there's no one want to re-download those soooo large files.
srsly gog?

no patch from "setup_divinity_original_sin_2_3.6.28.9550_(23353)" to current 3.6.28.9969....

the difference between steam and gog smaller and smaller.. it's a shame.
they want that we use galaxy

the patch policy is fuckdup

/edit

okay gog galaxy update is 400MB...

I REALLY want the two games separate (the current download size is absurd).
So, again it is the same bullshit (pardon my french) that they did with Spellforce 3
They are virtually forcing people with metered or simply slow connections to use Galaxy...

Hopefully the patch is only delayed for the offline installer...
To OP: Thank you, but i also think maybe the full installer is too much. Maybe you should just upload the patches.

Anyway, i agree with the rest here, the patches policy since the new version is horrible, aggravated by the decision to bundle both versions. Not only we have to download 45GB of game instead of 27 like before (x2, i mean, separate versions) but now we lack the patch between the first Definitive edition and the hotfix 9969...

So we have to download another 45GB again?? Really? That's ridiculous, what's the point in adding the whole new version without the hotfix patch? As we usually have to wait for new versions to come to classic errr i mean "offline" installers, at least add the patch at the same time as you add the new version. We already waited since past friday, anyway.

Also, for people who have slow connections is a problem, but it's also a problem for GOG themselves when people like me, fortunate enough with our connections, decide to re-download the whole thing, as we don't have any other option. Then we read complaints about the slow downloads from GOG's servers in the forum...well, of course! :P

*facepalm* I already complained about this behavior before when the normal OS2 was released and coming back after months for the Definitive Edition it pains me to see that they didn't learn a fucking thing.

Yesterday late evening I downloaded 3 or 4 parts and just now realised that the ones I downloaded today are having a different version number, so I have to redownload the parts I didn't even download 24h ago. And I best download them today because tomorrow there might be another version online...

Sorry but whoever is responsible for this is a damn retard and should be fired.
As someone working in IT I can't fathom how stupid you can be to do something like this...

I actually agree, and would love to have just provided a complete patch sequence, but I have no complete patch sequence, and my requests for files to fill the gap haven't helped,

Here's the original thread where I was very careful to only post patches, and even then only after GOG removed them.
All Patches GOG has removed, so you can update from the original release, page 1 - Forum - GOG.com

patch_divinity_original_sin_2_3.0.180.158_(19075)_to_3.0.190.74_(19412).exe
gap
patch_divinity_original_sin_2_3.0.190.74e_(20272)_to_3.0.226.993_LOCA_(20799).exe

The last user has posted these filenames, and they fill my gap, if I can find them somewhere else
patch_divinity_original_sin_2_3.0.190.74_(19412)_to_3.0.190.74c
patch_divinity_original_sin_2_3.0.190.74c_3.0.190.74e_(20272)

But the post above that indicates, that at least one of these patches never got released, and only a full installer was released, as they versions rapidly changed within a hour or two.

If I can get both missing patches, I will have a full sequence, once more, and can remove this.
I don't like uploading a full version installer, but if as seems to be the case, no complete patch sequence exists, see little other choice.

I'm not hiding what I'm doing, and have only posted the link here, and if GOG ask me to remove the link I will.
A full patch sequence is what I wanted to provide.

In addition no patches have been released for Definitive edition, and we've had 3 versions released since Friday.
WTF Larian, of all the dumb releases, this is ridiculous, 150 GB in three days for a 25 GB Definitive Edition.
That's adding insult to injury.

Not GOG this is entirely Larian's doing, GOG had nothing to do with it.

{EDIT}
Just Checked you can delete the Classic Folders, after install.
{Path to Game}\Classic
{Path to Game}\Data

Simply change your Shortcut to point to
{Path to Game}\DefEd\bin\EoCApp.exe

You'll bypass the "Support Tool", and launch the Definitive Edition directly.

Nice. Another 45 gig "patch".
Unfortunately, developers have no control over what appears in the "Offline backup game installers" section (developers upload an initial full version and after than only patches). It is GOG itself that creates those installers and/or patches, so please contact GOG support about this.
