I was thinking of getitng the game on GOG but I've heard that the beta versions might be a bit out of date but I'm guessing that otherwise the game is concurrent to steams main release? I.e. the Aurora update is on gog galaxy and installs automatically?

The Aurora update is also the current stable version here on GOG! =)))))

Just now I was able to download and play the new beta: 1.1.2.0. I'm still waiting for the official patch notes. =)))
