This is obviously a port of several console versions of both games, with several improvements, savestates, extras, etc., and not the shoddy DOS ports the previously had listed here. Why do several of the reviews imply that this is the same thing that was previously sold on GoG at a lower price, when it’s obviously not?
Note that those reviews are written by users who don't own the game on GOG. When filtering by "verified owners" there are currently two reviews posted, neither of which make such claims.
I was shocked when i read those reviews but im glad i checked this forum. I thought those reviews were correct.

Same here. I've played this version of the game (on Switch, not on GoG), and I find it to be a big improvement over the DOS releases. While I agree it's a bit overpriced at retail and will wait for a sale before picking it up here, it really annoys me that those people left such reviews without actually knowing anything about the product. It makes me wish GoG required ownership of games before leaving reviews for them, so that we get more honest reviews.

They were probably just insulted by the insane price.
One quick glance and you see the reviews are mostly fake from people that don’t own. There are filters that improve look of game, and invincible cheat on options should you choose, and Japanese version of both games thrown in. The final cut of Aladdin is a nice addition too.
I'm kind of sad this doesn't include the DOS version though. I'm fairly sure The Lion King is higher resolution in DOS.

And, again, not a word of credit to Westwood Studios on The Lion King... ugh. I thought we passed the era of giving no credit to developers.
Does GOG show if a game was owned but returned?

Westwood's name is all over this. Each rom is intact with all the original credits, and there are FIVE videos with Westwood Studios included in the Museum features, 3 with the producer and 2 with a designer.

If they aren't already included, they should throw in the DOS versions. I like the DOS version of Aladdin more than the SNES version.
No DOS versions sadly. They were taken off the store once this collection was scheduled to come. But they are all Virgin games like the DOS games were except the Capcom (SNES) one.
