Changelog for Update 9943e121 (18 March 2020):

- Added all whitechecks to the journal map.
- Improved cutscenes and optimized them.
- Graphics tweaks and UI improvements.
- Fixed various clipping issues.

- Tweaks to sound effects.
- Tons of typo fixes.

Standalone installer updated (579003ab ⇒ 9943e121): 19 March 2020.
Huh, for some reason the stand-alone installers (as of right now) don't actually have one from 579003ab -> 9943e121 - instead there's a 645b8361 -> 9943e121 patch, which is completely useless since there is no patch available that could possibly get us to 645b8361!!

I suspect this kind of confusion (which has happened before) would be less likely to happen if the devs would only use standard version numbers...
i cant update for same reason as poster above me. the in between patch is missing. have to redownload the whole game if I want to update it if they don't fix it

Don't worry about it. There is a newer version that GOG has not uploaded either patch of full installer for (Steam post by the devs). The latest version (the one for which there is a full installer: e128eba5) is digitally signed on the 19th March, and this new one is from the 20th.

I'm so freaking glad to be done with GOG. But I still want my games updated properly.

Sorry, I'm not affiliated with the devs, just a regular user posting updates/changelogs as they become available here on GOG.

Only response I can provide regarding the problems you and other Mac users are experiencing is to contact GOG Support or the devs through their official channels.

Sorry, I thought you were. Thank you for your work. I think someone in an official capacity should be handling this for all of us though, right?

I contacted GOG Support May 5, 5 days ago, and received an auto-mailer that advised my ticket was automatically closed along with other new tickets because of COVID-19. I replied back, asking them to re-open the ticket and update me as another email said they would "within 24-48 hours". I have heard nothing.

This was their reply:

===================================================================

"Following the COVID-19 outbreak, we’re dealing with record-high ticket volumes and as such the processing of this request will take significantly longer, for what we sincerely apologise and kindly ask for your understanding and patience. Unfortunately, this is a common problem that many customer service centres are currently facing.

"Since, upon submitting your request, you selected a problem type was general in nature, we encourage you to check out our Support Articles in hopes of finding a resolution to your inquiry and minimising the traffic to our already extremely busy Support staff.

"You can find the articles here:

"https://support.gog.com/hc/

"At the same time we would like to assure you that we are working hard to ensure Support inquiries are being taken care of. We sincerely appreciate your cooperation and patience in these difficult times.

"Because of this, we were forced to send you this automated message. In case our assistance is no longer necessary, please disregard this e-mail notification.
Please be aware that we have changed your ticket’s status to Solved, therefore, if you require further assistance, you should reply to this message, which will reopen the ticket. Please keep in mind, however, that given the current situation it may take us up to 4 weeks to get back to you, for which we sincerely apologise."

===================================================================

The only email I found for them was at zaum@zaumstudio.com. Please let me know if you could suggest a better method of contact. And, again, thank you for your work.

In closing, I will say that I am disappointed at the lack of response from the developers here at GOG and the ZA/UM team. If I were working for a company that recently released on a major operating system (Mac), I would log onto the largest platforms that distribute it (like GOG) and respond to recent buyers who are complaining their game is unplayable. I would do this to secure recent sales during COVID-19 and to work towards other sales going forward.

Because the money has already been received from me and others, and these are simple, expected, self-interested actions, I do not understand the lack of response so far.

No need to apologise, and you're welcome.

There are quite a number of devs/pubs that post changelogs/ patch notes, and interact with users here, and you can tell them apart from regular users by the orange font they're assigned. Unfortunately not all of them do (that's where others and I do the posting).

Regarding GOG's email, I'm afraid that's their automated response these days; hopefully things will change for the better once they return to more normal working conditions.

As for contacting ZA/UM, if you use social media, you might want to look them up and give them a nudge to come and respond to the issues you and others are having here.

That said, the game got a new update today (I'll post the changelog shortly), so probably best to try it and see if it fixes things before venturing into looking them up on social media or contacting them via email.

Glad to see the standalone installers actually appearing for the last few versions for once! Not having to re-download 4+ GB each time is definitely helpful.

I was going to say "look on the game's download page", because that's where I got it from, but it appears that for some strange reason it's now gone!

While I'm glad I was able to grab it before it disappeared (and then I could use the subsequent patch to bring it fully up to date), IMO GOG should really keep all the interim patches around for longer than that!

I didn't think they'd be THAT starved for disk space, considering how cheap disk space is these days...
