Hello. I have installed Disciples 2 Gold and then installed Rise of Elves Gold expansion pack shared here in forums.

I am having reoccurring spawn issue in first scenario where every few turns neutral army enemies would summon again and again. If not killed, they would keep summoning which would make computer turns longer and longer.

Anyone else has this issue? It seems there is a continuity error in events script that keeps summoning these enemies.

Also, the same dialogs would sometimes reoccur as if they didn't happen at all.

Update: I have found localized russian version of Disciples 2 Rise of Elves Gold by Akella and installed it in addition to Disciples Gold that I already had but in different folder. Tried replaying Rise of Elves Gold to see if monster spawn continuity can be reproduced. I thought it is a bug in Disciples 2 Gold and thought I would not encounter it here but it was here also. I don't know if this is a bug or not but it affects gameplay making game slower.

Besides who knows if further Rise of Elves Gold maps were tested? It could be I am wasting my time playing it due to potential bug I can encounter in later maps.

It normal for that DLC campaign. It is a unbalanced and untested. Many neutrals attacks each others even if all Neutrals, cause onboth of them have Guard stand (and of course same for neutrals that actually two different minor factions). Normal that all of them must have Normals (stand) priority script. or some Guard - but separate from nearest parties.

Second of 3 missions campaign scenario available as Skirmish map - no changes except allow all factions. No proper victory conditions.
I confirmed it just now. I found a 2CD ROTE 3.0 and installed it.

After testing some of the 3.01 changelog.

The 3.0 version has
- Hovel/Lodge tech tree
- Doppelganger can clone Sir Allemon
- Gallean's Boon adds 50% of unit's Max HP as Bonus HP.

I installed the ROTE Gold Expansion Pack on 3.0 ROTE and the result is it is the same as Steam's ROTE!!!!

Finally I installed the 3.01 patch and it fixed all the problems.

The GOG is the same as the D2 Gold 4CD (Not full 3.01 patch) since the Main menu screen is still 3.0 and the Elven tech tree is Hovel/Lodge but you can fix it by installing the ROTE Gold Expansion Pack.

Steam ROTE is outdated
It seems like Rise of the Elves and Gallean's return are two separate games. You can't access one in another. If you boot up ROTE, you don't have the mini campaigns. And you can't access Elves campaign from Gallean's return. Could it be possible to merge the two? You lose progress, since the leaders are for 2 different versions.
You asked (or saying) about merging? If yes - strange to hear that from Poland Disciples fan. *Hack* is possible. You can reproduce original maps in GR editor - later copy them to RotE folder. But it never be 100% accurate.

I found RotE 2 CD version - but already patched. Im try googled original US 1.0 (3.0) edition...
Steam version is patched, as i thought - except custom exe files.
If Steam 6 exe replace by GOG gold 6 exe files - Sir Allemon cant be cloned.
I create a map in Steam 3.0 version and Sir Allemon can be cloned. Load a map in Steam+GOG 3.01 version and Allemon now not cloned. This change in exe file.
I test differ unit types - party unit 97 lvl, 1 lvl in Empire hero army, neutral leader 97 lvl, neutral leader 1t lvl
Allemon cant be cloned only if neutral party leader and only 1st level. Same 1st lvl but in as party unit (in Empire army) can be cloned. So, i can say, that work only for Elves campaign... for unknown reason.

GOG version tested same way and work as Retail+upgrade+patch version. Already patched before and after gold upgrade... except main menu, so probably some files too. Better install Gold upgrade instead of copying Export folders (archives) from somewhere.
GOG version after clean install is 3.0 partially updated to 3.01 (exe files). And missed Gold content. Installation file from that thread - must have!

Still better buy both Gold versions and combine Steam(+GCFScape)+GOG 6 exe files and 1 manual.

Back when Rise of the Elves Gold was announced and could be ordered from Strategy First, they had an offer with included an "Rise of the Elves Gold Upgrade" for new and former buyers of the "Disciples II Gold". I think it was even possible to buy this upgrade for 0$ without buying any other Disciples II edition.

So here it is, just a 3 MB installer that adds the new custom maps.

Reinstall it. Use offline installer. Put installer to Rise of the Elves root folder.

It wont help. Gold Package installer possibly needs some registry entries which GOG version doesnot create.

ok, windows 10 fresh, installed RotE with offline installer, later in gog galaxy used verify/repair installation; i have searched registry after that and found only one entry for disciples 1 ( Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Strategy First\Disciples ). If you are so sure , can you, please, share registry entry for RotE, i will check if i have missed it and if it will help with running patch, i have something to write to gog support as well ...
