Hello all,

at the very start of the game you get access to an area with 2 weed smoking dwarves who task you in freeing their gatekeeper. There are some food items laying besides them but ultimately, they die of hunger. This is because:
- they dont produce food despite having a Fireplace nearby
- they do NOT Consume player created food even if brought to them

I wonder if they can lead to a gamestopper that essentially screws over your game as the quest they give is a mainquest. I only learned that they both died when I farmed some of the mushrooms in their cave and saw that only their tophat remained of them.

If anyone has a solution for keeping them alive, please add it here.

Sincerely.

Don't bother. This is just a side quest. These two are not essential to progress further in the game. And them dying out of hunger is an AI bug. I remember in one of my playthroughs back in the day they had cooked for themselves. But most of the time they died anyway.
