Hi,
I have a lot of problems concerning food. It seems my diggles/wiggles are rather starve and do anything else than cook.
I tried so far:
- shelving the fireplace and just using the medival kitchen
- having the fireplace and the MK both aktive in food production
- having the fireplace and the MK but only fireplace aktive in food production
- having the fireplace and the MK but only MK aktive in food production
- Trying all that with infinite Food production or just 1-2 at a time
- Locking a diggle with a hich food value to fireplace and/or MK
- putting the needed resources just in front of the MK or fireplace
- making sure that the food production is the first order in all production sides
- making sure that the food production is the last order in all production sides

The only solution I found so far was cancelling ever other production. And having a lot of diggles idle while 1 or 2 cook one badge than standing around a bit until they decide to make a second one.

As far as I can tell this happens only with food production. I also think it was less of a problem in early game, before I build my first farm. But I can't be sure. It is my first time playing and I am still in the first world.

Still at this point I am sure that something is broken. I may be new to this game, but I am not new to games like this.
I would be grateful for any help regarding the food problem.
I think I have found a way to make it work (thas why I am answering my own post).
You need to have the farm in the same cave as the food production side and only produce the one food from the farm in that cave (doesn't matter if 1 or 10).
If you do that food production will be prioritiesed unless you build a brewery somewhere. The brewery will have a higher priority no matter the location. I only played with the medival tech tree so far so there might be more.

As far as I know, the game doesn't tell you how to place farms correctly so I still think that there is something wrong with it. But it is possible to play that way without changing registry files etc.

I also have tested it with multiple farms. Only additional Mushroomfarms seem to have a real use (so far).
that. for me it would also be just have them make grilled hamster. i found that is the easiest thing to do.

sorry if i'm a tiny bit late, only got the game recently.

had the same issues with the medieval kitchen. turns out that there's a bug with the grubs / raupen, where if you put them in a farm, they'll gradually be locked and unusable by the wiggles.

there's a mod to fix that though
Have you built hamster-farm and then just cook hamsters? As those are not used for almost anything else, there should be enough of them.

And I did same with medieval kitchen and grub soup.

Never had issues, always had surplus of food.
