As the thread title says: when I run the game I get stuck on the menu screen. I can hear the blade sound in a loop but the menu won't open. Clicking around or pressing stuff doesn't do anything, the only exception being ESC key followed by Enter which leaves the game.

I've checked many other threads here but not a single one seems to deal with the error I'm experiencing.

Running Windows 7 64 bit and no mods installed.

Okay, I DID find another thread about this after all and there it is said that you have to move the mouse around to make the menu appear. Sadly that doesn't work for me. :/

Install Hazard's Xtended launcher. That will at the very least take care of the menu problem. :)

Actually I wanted to avoid using that one. I already got rid of the color corruption on the original game, would suck if I now got stuck because of an issue barely anyone seems to have.

Interesting. When using nGlide the "move mouse around" trick works. Sadly the only game mode that works then is the tutorial but hey, I'm getting closer. :D

Still: doubt I'm gonna get around using Xtended. Well, good thing it exists.

So has there ever been found any fix for that despite using the xtendend mod? i want to play the vanilla version, but this bug is really annoying.
