Die by the Sword and Limb from Limb are now supported for multiplayer on GameRanger. Should be completely automatic.

I'm mentioning this in its own thread because the issue has come up in many other threads , [url=http://www.gog.com/en/forum/die_by_the_sword_gold_edition/die_by_the_sword_multiplayer_connectiong_freeze_issue]here, , [url=http://www.gog.com/en/forum/die_by_the_sword_gold_edition/die_by_the_sword_multiplayer_is]here, , and [url=http://www.gog.com/en/forum/die_by_the_sword_gold_edition/ipx_is_dead_and_i_cant_get_tcp_ip_to_work_for_local_multiplayer]here. In fact, even in the General forum here.

Hopefully this should get people playing a lot quicker and easier.
Hello! I tried playing this with a friend, but failed to get it working. The host always gets a error message saying "the service provider is not available". Help would be appriceated :)

Exactly! ... its been 4 years since your comment but i want to play the game through lan or net and neither of those works. Ive tried lan and hamachi , ive never even managed to see the other persons room name.
Tried gameranger and "service provider is not avaible" . Im running Xtended mod, because any other way make my game crashes with the known bug on modern machines "Error:Generic"
Try Tunngle. It works.
If you are still having trouble, start up Hamachi or Tunngle, DISABLE your primary network adapter (or unplug ethernet cable) Start the game, now ENABLE primary network adapter (or plug cable back in) then try to host. Have your clients repeat these same steps, then hopefully they should see your game.

Basically this will force the game/program to bind all network traffic to the currently visible/enabled network adapter.

P.S. Go to network and sharing center and make sure you don't have any extra VMware/network adapters enabled that could be conflicting!

Basically, all the problems of the routers. Try without them (if possible).
