Hey,
I was experiencing the jumping mouse issue with the GOG DX release (didn't try that classic one since it didn't have window mode) when I had my game in window mode - 1024x768 (My desktop resolution is 1900x1200). This pretty much made window mode unplayable and I had to use full screen if anything. Thankfully this has been fixed with V4. However, I'm still experiencing lag every time I press the Alt button. I'm not sure why it happens but if I press alt, the screen would just freeze, and I would need to click again (left click) for it to unfreeze. I can reproduce this consistently.
EDIT: I've also submitted a ticket.
