Was the limit on sprites changed in this version?
I remember there was a really annoying issue with chain lightning where it had big gaps at higher level due to this.

I tested on the Classic and DX version. The chain lightning issue is still present.

This is really an annoying bug I would love it fixed.

I doubt that will ever be changed. It's hard coded into the game. The sprite limit is in place due to hardware limitations of the 1990s which the game was designed for.

On most characters I limit my chain lighting to level 5 or 7 and I largely avoid the problem.
