I'm kinda new to the Diablo. I've never played Diablo 1 until last year, I bought it from the GOG.

I've installed Tchernobog mod and there's a dungeon named Infested Cellar and there's a monster named Warmaggot Mad.

It's too strong and I keep dying by it.

When I see this monster, I'm scared so I just shoot spells everywhere and I miss all the time.

Tbh, even if I don't miss, it has too much HP so I can't kill it.
Is there any way to beat this thing? A weakness perhaps? My character is Sorcerer lv. 10 btw.

I remember fighting him on Belzebub. It was easy for my Warrior, just level up if he's too strong.
I think I brought him down by hit&retreat as a rogue, but as a sorceror I'd probably skip him until later because of his resistances.
Hi. I notice that your 3rd attempt was with the Holy Bolt spell. That spell only works against undead creatures, which serpents aren't. I'd advise trying to get your hands on other spell books such as Lightning or Fire Wall.

To elaborate on the point about Holy Bolt:
- Under classic Diablo rules, a Holy Bolt will automatically miss if the target is neither undead nor The Dark Lord.
- Under classic Diablo rules, an offensive spell will automatically miss if the target is immune to the damage type. You can put a Fireball right through a Steel Lord (fire immune knight), and the knight will not react at all. Likewise lightning magic ignores Blood Knights, and so on.

Assuming the mod has retained those rules, it's possible that some of your inaccuracy is because you are using the wrong type of magic. The videos don't load for me, so I cannot check them to confirm.

What's the minimum level to beat that Warmaggot the Mad? I think it's the mod monster so there's not much info on the web.

Is there any spells that penetrates the resistance? I've heard poison might be effective but I don't think there's a poison spell.

Thank you. I'm kinda newb so I didn't know Holy bolt is only effective against the undead.

Hi!

There is no minimum level required to beat the monster. If you look closely, you did damage the boss with Firebolt in your first video, you just did very little damage, because of his 75% resistance.

If you already know Fire Wall or Lightning Wall, use it to create a wall between you and the monsters. If you don't have them, just use hit & run tactics. I recommend killing him either with Lightning spell (multiple hits) or Frost Shard spell (slows him down). There's no need to panic, this boss is slow and easily killable.
